Supplier verification checklist before you place a bulk order

Sourcing

Placing a bulk manufacturing order overseas is terrifying for first-time founders. A single bad batch can destroy a brand's reputation and drain cash flow. This is why rigorous supplier verification must be non-negotiable.

The first step is separating actual factories from trading companies. You can request business licenses, ISO certifications, and video tours of the manufacturing floor. A true factory will have no issue showing you their machinery and quality control lines in real-time.

The Golden Rule: The Golden Sample

Never place a bulk order without approving a "Golden Sample." This is the exact physical prototype that the factory promises to replicate perfectly. Once approved, this sample is signed, sealed, and kept. When your third-party QA team inspects the final bulk order, they will compare the goods strictly against this Golden Sample.
